Faculty of Education
Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University Faculty of Education aims to prepare future educators and psychological counsellors by adopting a student-centred and practice-oriented approach to education grounded in scientific knowledge in the fields of educational sciences and guidance and counselling.

The faculty offers undergraduate programs in Preschool Education and Guidance and Psychological Counselling. These programs are structured around a holistic educational approach that aims to develop students’ subject-matter knowledge and professional competencies, as well as their skills in critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving, ethical decision-making, and social responsibility.

The Preschool Education program aims to prepare qualified teachers who understand the developmental characteristics of early childhood from a scientific perspective and are equipped to support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor development. The program seeks to enable teacher candidates to assess child development from a holistic perspective, apply contemporary educational methods, and plan learning processes in ways that recognize and respond to individual differences among children.

The Guidance and Psychological Counselling program focuses on preparing qualified professionals who can support individuals throughout their developmental, educational, social, and career-related processes and provide psychological counselling and guidance services based on scientific knowledge and ethical principles. The program supports students in developing the ability to understand individual differences, communicate effectively, conduct counselling processes on a scientific basis, and adopt professional approaches tailored to different stages of human development.

The Faculty of Education aims to prepare students as innovative education and guidance professionals who are responsive to evolving educational needs and possess a strong sense of social responsibility, placing scientific knowledge, human-centred education, practice-based learning, and professional ethics at the core of its educational approach.
